Log In Tune Out  (Cyber Awareness)

With the advent of digital age & increasing accessibility of gadgets in our daily lives. Parents often are unclear, perplex or in conflict with regards to the perimeters & managing of such gadgets with their children. In this workshop, we explore:-

· Limits & boundary appropriate for different age group
· Pitfalls & destructive pattern in cyber usage
· Exploring the cyber world & using it to advance learning

SPEAKER :-

Mr Jason Yew has been working with young people for the past 20 years. He has been a teacher, a social worker in social work projects in Uganda (Africa), Hong Kong (China) and programme co-ordinator at Gracehaven, The Salvation Army Home for young people.

He is a youth trainer, and conducts various workshops for young people, in particular, youth-at-risk. He is effectively bi-lingual, and has conducted numerous talks for parents in the SFE Program (School Family Education) on topics relating to children & youth. He has conducted Parenting Talks for organizations including Fei Yue, Families For Tommorrow, Oikos, Family Wise, Shan You, Yong En & Cornerstone.

Jason is keen on developing individuals with an interest to work with and understand young people better. Currently, he help design and manages at risk programmes under En Community Social Services Society in various primary & secondary schools for at-risk young people with special needs.
Jason is a practicing counselor and consultant, working with young people and parents facing adolescent issues. He is also an SDU- certified Dating Practitioner.
