Moving into Secondary One can
sometimes be daunting for both students and parents. While teenage
adolescence is a natural process of development, there are associated
growing pains faced by both teens and parents. With surmounting influences of
peer pressures, academic stresses, new adjustments and media distractions, how
can parents better understand and connect with their teens?
This talk examines the phase of
teenage transitions and the realities of being a secondary school student. It
also draws parents to discuss about pertinent changes in parenting approach and
proposes strategies to engage and influence your teens.
